A Shared Life...

The first thing we notice is the warm sunlight shining high in the window - we got to sleep in! The room in this bed and breakfast wows us once more - we admired it only briefly last night, and fell asleep fast. We get our running clothes on and stare at the map, walk out to the trail's head, and admire the beauty as we keep a good pace down the trail. It's wide (like that road we ran on at Black Rock Forest) with soft turns. We talk about Caleb and Ethan, about the deployment, about retirement, about God.
The trail narrows as we approach the waterfall. After three miles, we don't feel guilty walking a little, cooled by the mist, awed by the height. I get a great picture of you posing in front of the falls.
We start running and you breathe a big sigh of relief. I ask what you're thinking about, and you say, "For a split second, I felt worry about the boys rise up, but then I remembered who they're staying with, and the worry just melted away..."
(You continue the story, answering who the boys are staying with....Love you.)
